Flexo printing on plastic foil and paper
Foil printing – laminated/mounted foil - multilayer foil - foil for the food industry
Flexo printing, like high-pressure printing, is a direct printing process. Flexographic printing differs from high pressure in that the ink is chemically complex with low viscosity, the printing form is flexible and very different materials can be printed by this process.
Flexible printing is one of the youngest and most rapidly evolving branches of rotogravure, where the flexible printing format is fixed on cylindrical circles of different circumference for printing.
The printing form is inked by a cranked raster cylinder and transfers the liquid solvent-based ink to any medium.
Today it has the same quality as offset or gravure printing technology. In Hungary, it is mainly used in packaging technology for the production of packaging materials and labels.
Our company is able to print at the current highest resolution of 160 lpi and create a print at this resolution without any difference to the naked eye between gravure and flexo printing.
The big advantage of flexographic printing is that the printing form is much cheaper than the gravure printing process because there are no more cylinders to roll, so when it comes to graphical changes or shifts, it can only make up a fraction of the printing costs.
Flexographic printing is nowadays suitable for the production of small parts due to the automation and development of printers.
